The Schedule

Here'sthe schedule for the week subject to  last-minute changes due to the whims of your tour director and humble servant.    


FRIDAY JULY 13


8:00 a.m.

Meet at W. 33rd Street between 11th Ave and 12th Ave for our optional transportation for your bike and you.  We depart at 8:30 a.m. SHARP.  

                           


11:00 a.m.

Any time from 11:00 a.m. or later you can check in to the campground. Be SURE to tell the campground folks that you are with BICYCLE SHOWS U.S.


Our campground is:

Lander's Narrowsburg Campground

Narrowsburg, NY 12764


WARNING -- Lander's has more than one location. Make sure you are headed to the right place!


Noon

Depart from the campground for our Friday bike ride:

• Bethel Woods (site of the original Woodstock rock festival)

• Local distillery

• Our local roadside ice cream stand


About 25 miles total.


OR


If you prefer you can skip the bike ride and go paddling down the Delaware by canoe, kayak, or raft.  Several distances available. Just check in at the campground office and tell them that you are with BICYCLE SHOWS U.S.


6:00 p.m.

Dinner and drinks in the campground.  Classic cookout food -- burgers, sausages, veggie burgers...


9:00 p.m.

We depart the campgrond for The Night Ride! It's about 17 miles, and 99 percent downhill. Amazing in every wa.

  

Post-ride campfire with marshmallows, s'mores...

SATURDAY JULY 14


8:00 a.m.

Meet at W. 33rd Street between 11th Ave and 12th Ave for our optional transportation for your bike and you.  We depart at 8:30 a.m. SHARP.    


8:00 a.m.

Light breakfast in the campground -- bagels, coffee, fruit...


11:00 a.m.

Depart from the campground for a great bike ride:


• Bethel Woods (site of the original Woodstock rock festival)

• Brandenburg Bakery

• Catskill Brewery

• Prohibition distillery

• Roscoe Brewery for lunch


This ride has a significant hill or two which you CAN handle. BUT... if you want to skip the hill we'll be there to give you a lift to the top! (Sneaky, eh?)


Total distance: About 26 miles.


A quick note -- don't be fooled by all these alcohol-inspired rest stops. This is not a drunken bike-fest; these are just nice local places to stop, refill water botttles, and, yes, have a drink if you wish. Want to make purchases at any of these stops?  We'll carry them for you in our vehicles if you wish so you don't have to bike with them.

6:00 p.m. -- Dinner in the campground featuring barbecue from our own local Big Kev's.  Great for meat eaters and vegetarians.

SUNDAY JULY 15


9:00 a.m. -- a bit of a later start to the day after a late Saturday night. We'll depart the campground for breakfast and then on to the day's bike ride:


• Hawk's Nest

• Old Mine Road

• Dingman's Ferry

• Dingman's Falls

• Lunch


Total distance: About 26 miles.


From there we'll transport everyone back to the campground to pack up and head home.
